Multiple sources are reporting that talented four-star point guard Tremont Waters from New Haven, Conn. has signed with LSU.

LSUSports.net later confirmed the news.

Waters, a four-star prospect from Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Connecticut, is ranked No. 32 in the 2017 ESPN rankings and No. 41 overall in the 2017 class according to Scout.com. He is listed as the eighth point guard in the top 100 rankings by ESPN.

“Tremont Waters is a dynamic point guard who will help our program immediately,” said Coach Wade. “His ability to pass and score, along with his defensive tenacity, will help us tremendously as we move ahead toward the 2017-18 campaign.”

Waters originally signed with Georgetown, but asked for a release this past March. He recently just returned from an official visit to LSU.

Finally a TRUE point guard. I just hope that if/when he gets his shot rejected in the lane that he doesn't KEEP going back in the lane and KEEP getting his shot rejected like some of LSU's guards from the past. From what I have seen on film, he is the real deal. Great sign!
