SCOTT CLAUSE/USA TODAY Network
While LSU waits to play in the 'win or go home' Baton Rouge Regional Final against Little Rock, two freshmen from Jay Johnson's squad have elected to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

According to reports, the players departing the team are infielder David Hogg II from Mansfield, Texas, and first baseman Ryan Costello from Howell, New Jersey.

Hogg played in 12 games this season with just two at-bats, while Costello played in 15 games this season with eight at-bats. Neither player recorded a hit this season.

It’s shame when no one gives a shite about their team enough to even play the whole season. We’re in the middle of the NCAA tournament for frick’s sake.

He didn’t quit. He wasn’t even on the postseason roster. If you’re transferring, you have to get in early to get a team. There’s only so many good opportunities

Hogg seemed like he had potential as a middle infielder and Costello probably would have started at 1st base

I like big tough guys that bash LSU players behind an anonymous screen name. So strong and hard...
