A tragic accident happened in Tennessee on Friday night when a 55-year-old grandfather and experienced skydiver fell to his death during a pregame ceremony prior to a game between David Crockett High School and Daniel Boone High School...
quote:

"Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of the injured skydiver that has passed away," the Washington County School district said in a statement. "We ask that everyone keep the family in their thoughts and prayers as they deal with the loss of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather," the statement adds.

If you watch the video Wolfhound45 provided...where is the camera? How in the hell was this caught on camera? It's like it's on a selfie stick that's following him down.

Must have lived a full life. We all pick our time to exit, as hard as that is for us to understand...so he decided to leave doing what he loved to do.

I hope I leave collapsed on the rump of a 19 year old gymnast.

Did he fall on to the field or miss his mark? Sorry for the family

sad, of course, but skydiving is dangerous. My sympathy meter runs low for people that get hurt or die doing dangerous stuff. They assume the risk.

So is driving. And going up/down stairs. And texting. And getting stung by an insect outdoors. And eating. And setting off fireworks. And standing on a ladder or stool. And getting out of the shower. And slicing vegetables. And exercising/playing sports. And walking in a dodgy area of town. LIFE is dangerous; sympathy is instinctive in most well-adjusted humans.

If the FR's just have to secure a site, scoop up what's left then no biggie.... A mountain climber who breaks a leg 1/2way up a sheer mountain and expects the rescue guys to risk their lives to get them, I put in a different category.
