Report: Veteran College Coach Rich Rodriguez Visited Alabama On Monday
by Staff Reporter
November 12, 201811 Comments
Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports
ESPN's Alex Scarborough is reporting that former Arizona, Michigan, and West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez visited Alabama on Monday.
Rodriguez almost ended up with the Alabama head coaching job when he was getting ready to leave West Virginia but the Crimson Tide hired Nick Saban instead.
Rodriguez ended up leaving West Virginia for Michigan but was fired after three seasons in Ann Arbor. He became the head coach at Arizona in 2010 but was fired last January after six years Tuscon.
His visit to Tuscaloosa could likely be for a job on Alabama's staff as an assistant. We'll see what happens.
