“The guy who started the first two games, Jalen Milroe,” Finebaum said. “He made plenty of mistakes against Texas, but he has talent. He can run the ball, he can make big plays, and for the life of me, I don’t understand what Tommy Rees the offensive coordinator is doing.

“Quite frankly, I don’t know what Tommy Rees is even doing there after three weeks. There were jokes on my Twitter timeline about if he’d make the plane coming home and I’m not really sure he should. So far, I think Tommy Rees has been a disaster as Nick Saban’s offensive coordinator. He has changed.”

Tommy Reese is in way over his head. Solid 2nd tier Power 5 OC but just not ready for the big boys. And they don't come any bigger than Bama.

Paul Finebaum is so dense that he didn't even realize Nick Saban would have taken this loss just to show the fans that he had indeed started the best quarterback in the first two games.

Jury is still out on Rees, but he is not calling slants, screens, and passes toward the sideline that might slow up the rush that is killing us.But until we fix offensive line and back blocking enough to see what play he actually called, who knows what plays he has in his book - or actually might add to Saban's playbook.

I haven’t been impressed, but I don’t think Kiffin or Sark could do much with this offense to be honest. That’s saying a lot too since Kiffin had Blake Sims looking like Joe Montana because of Amari Cooper.

They definitely would make them better. A good OC can figure a way around certain problems. If Kiffin was running this, it would be Milroe in the Jalen Hurts scenario.
