Bought a Minn Kota Raptor on 3/30/2026 and installed it same day. It was paired when we hooked up the juice so all was well.
First day used I had a double, dropped it at lift and when I came back it would not retract. Called a buddy and he deleted the active anchor (blue tooth) and all was well.
Next trip the pair shite the bed so no anchor. Repair remote and it’s working again until it doesn’t.
Replace remote battery and works again.
Previous PP with C monster pump seams stronger coming up, told to bump TM and hit up button. Helped a lot but continued to lose pair between remote and pump.
Friday I lost spike, not spikes problem since it was blowing balls and boat is 3,000#.
Warranty is good but they (service center) has to order with.a week turn around.
I saved $700 buying a Raptor but I thinks it bit me in the arse.
PP customer service is da shite.

You don't listen baw. Old saying you get what you pay for....

Power Pole seems to work the best in their peer group.

This, there a few companies around I'll pledge lifetime customer status to but Power Pole is one of them. My son has become a dealer in last 5 years or so and having met a few guys that work there it's not hard to see why they are as good as they are, great down to earth folks. Hoping they never sell out to a PE company.

Best customer service in any business and yes PE would gut that.
You can order parts before noon EST and they will ship same day and arrive in 3. I can make 2-3 calls and find a pp spike local or usually a buddy has an extra.
Waiting a week for a replacement just sucks.

Are we talking about power poles and raptor shallow water anchoring systems here?

If so glad I went with 8’ poles so far on my boat cause I was debating getting the raptors.

Hate to hear that. I have power poles on my current bay but Im getting a new boat this fall and Im planning on switching to raptors. I have a nice deal with Johnson and plan on ordering my trolling motor and poles through them. Ive heard good things about them. I wonder what is going on with yours. Sounds like more of a bluetooth connection issue than anything

Myself and several other guides don’t believe the Raptor pump is as strong as the PP C monster pump.
Losing connectivity multiple times daily is a pisser for sure. Eventually I will take it in for service and maybe they can fix it.

That sucks. I was hoping they were a little more heavy duty than the 8' blades. My boat is pretty heavy and my blades bend and creak pretty bad. I have heard that the raptors are much stronger.

The raptor is engineered for pull coming up than push going down.

Did not know that, THANKS!
Changing spike was simple, MK has a hole in the knuckle you can runs Phillips head into and tap it out. PP you have to root out the glass piec by piece.
Service center (Henderson) expedited spike and I installed this morning.

Update
Broke second spike a week ago and placed warranty order same day. MK fulfillment center is upgrading so still no spike. Just ordered an additional spike since I figure this will be a quarterly occurrence. Spikes are $50 so I don’t understand why dealers aren’t stocking.

Had PP on multiple boats, largely OK but had to replace mother board a couple of times, customer service great.

Raptors on last couple of boats and enjoying them.

Can tell you that idling along a long row of bay boats in camp hoists.....I see more PP's that are tied up some kind of way (to keep from leaking/falling down) than you would think.

Me too (once). They sent a replacement even though it was a few years past warranty.

I never did until I had a cracked tank and my pole vibrated down on the road. Now I strap it up. Hydraulics fail from time to time.
