There was a lot of negative talk about Weston all offseason and he shined on the OL last night.

Man, shout out to Weston Davis! He played a hell of a game last night.

I made a thread about him last year after he looked like he was break dancing against aTm. What a difference a year makes. He looked good last night. I'm about to rewatch the condensed game so I can pay a little more attention to him and some of the other players on the line.

FWIW, this was him breakdancing last year...

Thank God Brad Davis is gone. I can't believe BK tied himself to people like Brad Davis and Joe Sloan when it was clear to everyone they weren't getting the job done.

Watched him fairly close, he whiffed on one block but Leavitt scrambled for the 1st down. Other than that he looked solid. Props to the young man. Looking forward to seeing the PFF grades

Ya know what. Brad Davis was hired, you can't blame him for taking the job. I also believe he cared about LSU and the kids.

He's just not good at his job. My frustration comes from BK keeping him on staff when you know he wasn't getting it done.

BK didn’t even know who was on his roster. He certainly wasn’t spending time making sure his staff was held accountable to their job.

He sucked and was looking for a buyout

Weston played well on the whole sans maybe one play or two. Really the entirety of the OL played well.

LSU racked up 309 yards rushing last night. The longest run of the night was an 18-yard run from Leavitt. So, it’s not like LSU was popping up a handful of long runs that contributed to the rushing total—the OL surged and physically beat down Clemson at the point of attack, which has been missing these past few seasons.

He was primarily blocking Heldt too who is a really good end.

Talented kid who just needed proper coaching. Expect him to get better as the year goes on especially with Seaton showing him the ropes

We had plenty of talent on the OL the last few years. We were missing a competent OL coach. Davis was a disaster and thank god he is gone.
