re: Does anyone play iRacing?

Posted by elysium on 5/2/15 at 4:33 pm to
Ive been a subscriber to iRacing since 2012. Getting a good wheel and having to pay per car and track can seem like a negative when you first look into it. Over time though, it has been the best sim racing experience I've had with any online game ever. Working your way up through the license tiers with safety ratings can get frustrating when you're involved in an incident without being at fault and still suffer a loss in safety rating , but it's part of learning the game and how to race clean.
So many to pick from, but I'd have to vote for Jack Straw as well.

I saw Furthur play it at 1st Bank Center in Colorado during a 3 night run earlier this year.

Can't wait for 4 nights at Red Rocks in September! :dude:
I heard Green Day was gonna throw down some jams with Trey and Mike somewhere on the second leg of the tour since they are such a profound influence in the jam band scene.

That MUST be the big show you're talking about

I'm still waiting on the cross genre improv. from Green Day.

This. Hopefully he'll just go back to helping his friend or whomever attempt to book burned out bands to play at the Varsity, rather than offer his musical genius.

anybody know about Bob Weir & Phil Lesh newer band Further?

I saw Furthur at Waneefest this year. They take old Dead tunes just a little "furthur" with the jams. Kind of breathes new life into them, while still respecting the roots. I plan on seeing them at Red Rocks for 3 nights in September.

Play with someone MUCH better than you. I can FOR SURE attest that if the other two things I said don't work, this one does. Any piece of decent guitar work that I can pull was shown to me by someone else, almost without exception.

IMO, the best thing I did while learning was play with others that WERE good. It pushed me to learn and practice

Solid advice as well. I found that when I jammed with someone, I learned exponentially faster than when I just tried to teach myself through videos or books. Patterns and doors opened so much faster

Keep jamming, and don't get frustrated... the music never stops! :dude:

Althea
Shakedown Street
Scarlet Begonias
Franklin's Tower
Terrapin Station
Feel Like A Stranger

Just to name a few

I got to see Furthur at Waneefest this year and they were amazing. Bob and Phil can still thrown down some grooves. I'm even thinking of going to see them for 3 nights up at Red Rocks in September.

Well that sucks... Is it possibly because of the Oscars tonight?

Haha, that movie does leave you with A LOT of questions at the end. It's interesting to read/hear what other people think happened. Lynch really can twist your mind into one hell of a knot. Definitely a favorite movie of mine though

Finished watching the whole series the other day. I really enjoyed it, just didn't want it to end. Definitely one of my favorite television series. If you haven't seen any other David Lynch movies, I highly recommend them. Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead, and Blue Velvet to name a few
Are you guys in a guild on bondar crystal? I rolled a bounty hunter on the Sith Wyrm server named Xerco, but might reroll a healer on bondar if i could find some guildies lol

I saw the play in London a year or so ago. It was incredible to watch. The way the puppeteers manipulated the horses was so realistic you forgot they were puppets. Heck it took like 4 people to operate just one horse.

For me, it'll be tough to beat the live performance, but I'll still probably watch it and compare
