Its year 1 of the Kiffin era. He inherited a mess and things are going just as most of us expected. Even the GOAT (Nick Saban), finished with an overall record of 7–6 (4–4 in the SEC) in his 1st season at Alabama. People were calling for his head back then & look how that turned out.
It takes time to build a winning culture. Anyone who thought we were going 12-0 this season is crazy.

Even in the portal world, it takes time for a football team to mesh. And we don’t have a ton of talent stockpiled. No depth.

Anyone that saw the schedule should have understood this team would have trouble making it to 10 wins Kiffins first year.
However in this new age of college football you don’t get to “build” a championship team over time. Its WIN NOW!!!!

I’m not mad THAT we lost and I know it takes time to recover from the BK era.
But, HOW we lost is the bigger issue. Some of Lane’s decisions were wildly irresponsible and the way the defense (which had played as good as possible up to that point in the game) completely (and predictably) folded the second we got the lead are why people are justifiably upset.

Exactly. It's not like LSU is a football powerhouse like Kentucky, UCLA, or Indiana that you can just to into and build a winner.
