Recreational Alligator Tags

Anybody else get the 2 tags filled already. I caught a 7"10 and 7"8 this weekend and cut loose another about the same size. Eating fried alligator and sauce piquant now.

Be careful telling people you cut one loose. Pretty sure that's illegal since the hook is down their throat. Better check the regs.

Hunters are allowed two lines per unused tag, and any gator that is hooked after tags are filled is to be released “in the most humane method possible.” Basically the state is on record saying shite happens.

Relative of mine caught a 10' 7" one last weekend

Get out to Hopedale. Last time I was there fishing it was lousy with gators of all sizes.

Damn nutria were looking paranoid swimming in the canals and cuts we were fishing. They were looking like Olympic swimmers crossing from bank to bank.
