re: Breckenridge Vs Vail
Posted by MabshirTiger on 10/5/20 at 11:03 pm to caliegeaux
Vail is sooo expensive, but the skiing is sooooo good.
Breck is an awesome, real town. Very busy, almost spring break busy. And good skiing.
Both slopes can be really crowded, but it disperses slightly better in Vail.
Hope that helps.

I may have missed this in the thread... but in the dinner party episode, Jim and Pam smell Jan’s candle and comment on how strong the camp fire smell is... and for the rest of the episode, there are like three of those candles in every shot. All over the condo. There are seriously like 40 candles lit in that little condo.

Anybody have a midtown or downtown recommendation for the game Saturday?
It appears the alumni association has something at someone’s house in Germantown, but I am looking for an LSU bar type scene.
Would the Bayou be appropriate?

A-Basin with the 11th hour one up. Good for them.
It isn’t much fun till the mountains fully open, IMO.

Lava Lake is really good, about 6 miles. Is about 20 minutes away... Beehive Basin is really nice and right in Big Sky, 7 miles and strenuous.

8thyearsenior hit it all on the head.
I like Emerald lake for people visiting although the other ones mentioned are not so bad.
Trail Ridge Road, Bear Lake hikes, Estes Park proper are the highlights of the area. I would recommend getting a drink at the Stanley bar to see it, and walk around the grounds with your drink. Not neccessarily the tour though.

I did Keystone today, also with 15’. It was awesome, but busy busy. People are starved for powder.
re: Cold Brew Coffee @ Home
Posted by MabshirTiger on 1/24/18 at 4:20 pm to CBLSU316
Bumping to ask a question: I’m a fan of cold brews from several places in New Orleans and Baton Rouge... Mojo, Sacred Grinds, Highland Coffee and even CC’s....
But I moved to Colorado, and have found a lack of decent cold brew and have been trying to brew myself.
Is it common for the places above to use chicory? Are there any additional ingredients that should be used? I have not been able to get the recipe right when home brewing. I specifically tried to mimic CC’s as it seemed like it would be easiest. But their home brew kit does not taste like the restuarant version.

I'd like to add to the description of what happened after the touchdown in the 03 UGA game...
the air went out of the stadium. But Batman, who was standing several rows ahead of me in the student section, turned around and ignited the crowd with the LSU chant. I learned that superheros are real that day.

TL;DR I got run around by Cox for 3 weeks and 15 hours of phone time for something they lost and said I stole.
I had the same thing happen. They told me I had not returned a box, but was never given a receipt when I returned it. They tried to send it to collections, and NUMEROUS phone calls with low IQ assholes did not help. It was not fixed until I put in a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. frick Cox.

Any ideas on the earliest time Spoon can go on Saturday night? The Varsity website says show starts at 9pm... so I assume they would start at 10ish after Tennis is done playing?
TIA

Shrek may be somewhat played out now, but I lost my dignity in the original when Fiona was singing with the birds and killed them, and then cooked the eggs for breakfast.
