St. Thomas More Catholic High School is excited to announce the launch of Envision More 3.0, the Our Lady of Lourdes Cougar Athletic Center. The 22,000 square foot athletic facility will impact every sport, every athlete, and every student in the school. The building will be located on the practice field (aka the Hump) between the school and Cougar Stadium and will include a 6,000 square foot weight room, a 2,600 square foot activity room, locker rooms, dressing areas, restrooms with showers, a training room, storage and equipment space, and coaches’ offices, for all outdoor sports.

In addition to the Our Lady of Lourdes Cougar Athletic Center, locker rooms for all existing indoor and outdoor sports will be renovated and new locker rooms will be built where those are lacking. Cougar Stadium will be the home to a new visitor concession area and restrooms as well as the lacrosse and soccer locker rooms.

The groundbreaking of the Our Lady of Lourdes Cougar Athletic Center is expected in the Summer of 2022 with a move-in date of the Fall of 2023.

Thank you to former STM Cougar and LSU Tiger Jamie Howard for leading the fundraising.

Putting Jamie Howard in charge of fundraising for a project while his son is one of the top QB prospects in the country is a pretty smart move.

I know they raised another $200k at the athletic fundraiser last Saturday night.

It’s gonna be an awesome facility.

He's at Ole Miss, don't know what's going on with the lawsuits. I don't even think the family is suing him, just the school and diocese. Which is stupid, IMO, but whatever.

If I heard this correctly on KPEL this morning, Lafayette Parish School Board is about have an athletic complex built for all the parish schools to use. I don't know if it's going to be a football stadium like all the ISD's do in texas, or if it's going to be something like the Broussard and Youngsville athletic complexes. It's suppose to be out by I10/I49 area by Louisiana Avenue.
