Like LSU vs Washington in 2009 and 2012 or LSU vs Oregon in 2011? LSU never plays PAC10 teams.

We won in 2003 because everything fell into place.
That doesn't mean Les is or is not a good coach. He won the SEC championship and once LSU was selected to go to the BCS championship game, he won that too.
How we were selected had little to do with Miles' abilities, besides talking up the fact that they were overtime losses on ESPN. The rest is luck, like every other BCS championship.
Let's see how this season ends before we go into full meltdown with pitchforks for Miles' and Crowton's head. Miles has an almost 80% winning record, SEC title, and BCS title. Calm down.

In the pole that doesn't matter.

What are the chances that Boise/TCU/Cincy lose 1 game, Texas loses 2, and LSU gets in the NCG because the pollsters don't want a UF/Bama rematch?
Pretty low. I would not look forward to too many other opportunities to come along to get into the NCG with 2 losses. That being said that we have played as well as we have and had that chance this year is quite an achievement.

are you fricking kidding me? were pissed and going to unleash hell on La Tech. Gotta make somebody pay.
La tech will be a little bit of a hang over with the way they left everything on the field and with the injuries we have had. We should still beat them, but that is why the stats are what they are. I would not expect the same sort of gashing that we put to Tulane next week.

Also, have anyone ever won a heismen on defense?
Charles Woodson, 1997
(He is the only person to win it being a primarily defensive player, but back in the day the players played both offense and defense.)
Cramps are terrible, but the announcers say it that way because it does not require as much recovery time or remedy.

Yes, yes we are.

Saints schmaints....4-0 0-4 I could care less.

We're a 10-2 tean now that we got this win. If we had lost we're 8-4.
I agree with this.

If you think they would let an undefeated SEC champion be left out of the BCSNCG after the SEC has won it the four out of the last six years, with us winning two of them, and us beating Florida probably twice who won the other two, you are crazy.
If LSU were to win every game, and that is a huge if, I can't see them leaving us out.

Four in '90s and two in '00s. I hope to have plenty more in the '10s.

re: Should Tressel Resign?

Tressel's problem is that he is too good in the regular season (read weak conference) and not good enough in bowls.
He almost always gets them to a good bowl, but rarely ever fails at letting tOSU lose it.
He is the anti-Miles in bowls.

Its tied 2-2.
FLA and OU would have to meet in the semis. Both of them can't advance. It will be a great game either way.
64 Teams is WAY too many teams considering there are only 119 Div 1 FBS teams. That means over 50% of the teams get in. That completely makes the regular season useless. Basically be bowl eligible and you are in. I know it is a "what if" and it will never happen, but the most I could see is 16 teams.
The NFL has almost 40% of the teams get in, and there are reasonable complaints about the regular season loses not meaning as much.
If there were a 4 or 8 team playoff then that would be between 3 and 6%. That in no way make the regular season irrelevant. Every year there are at least 3 or 4 that have more than legitimate arguments that they should be in. Two teams are not enough for the system of the computers and polls with the uneven schedule and unpredictability of the big games.
