SSshhhhh! You weren't suppose to let that leak. Too many tiger fans think we are terrible.

Some times people fail to realize the most important stat is your win/loss record.

Actually, the interesting thing is that we are number one in all of the computer polls.

probably the biggest factor, apart from being unbeaten so far, in the computer polls having us at #1 is the win at washington. computer polls put a good amount of weight on who your opponents play/beat. UW beating USC, who won at OSU and destroyed Cal, makes our win a good, quality win. if UW wouldn't have gotten hosed on a couple calls against ND, it would be even better...well, you can't get much better that #1, but you get the point.

Computer rankings probably look at victory over two pretty good teams and also three road victories.

I don't know LSUMatt and sorry if you don't buy it or not...I'm just posting the polls. Take it for what it's worth. It's just where the polls are right now.

The best team to beat is Florida. Not only because they are #1 but because they will not fall for. A 1 loss Florida team does not leave the top 6 because of the Tebow factor.

I thought everyone hated the computers and thought they were faulty since they don't watch the games. now that they are saying LSU is #1, they are infallible?

Basically, the computers look at wins and losses, and the wins and losses of opponents. Going by that, I can't really find a team with a better resume than LSU.

However, the computers are backward-looking, not forward-looking. Now that LSU is in the meat of the schedule, LSU has to improve its level of play to win. I think they can.
