no way...he is the reason the program has these expectations...and he beats Michigan. That was John Cooper's downfall.

Not saying Tressel is a bad coach, but sometimes you just need a change. tOSU could attract alot of good coaches.

Just think, he's been to TWICE the BCS games as Mack.
A very select few programs dominate bowl games, and looking at the two big BCS programs (LSU and USC), they traditionally have favorable matchups.
Most schools would kill for three BCS wins and six appearances.

Tressel's problem is that he is too good in the regular season (read weak conference) and not good enough in bowls.
He almost always gets them to a good bowl, but rarely ever fails at letting tOSU lose it.
He is the anti-Miles in bowls.

He had a great game plan last night. Most on here thought Texas was going to blow the doors off the Bucks...
I thought it was one of his better gameplans in his career. He can't make the tackle for the kid on the last drive can he?

no, he should not resign. he is a great recruiter and classy, spokesperson for the university. however, he should give up play calling duties ASAP.

No. A lot of schools don't even sniff the BCS, at least he can get them to BCS games.
