He was hurt, he came back in. Made a great stop, got hurt again, came back in hurt. Had no quit in him.

Of course neither did either of our boys but Peterson was trying to win that one through sheer force of will. I hope he stays for all 4 years.

if he does, he will win a heisman. book it. unfortunately it seems unlikely that he will be a senior at LSU.

Those sorta cramping just happen. It like all of a sudden it tighten up on your legs pinch like a mo-fo, then slowly and gradually it releases and relax and you are back to normal again but while it hurt it effen hurts.

Also, have anyone ever won a heismen on defense?

I think getting too jacked up for a game brings it on, assuming hydration and fitness are what they should be.

I am sure he was sky high for his second shot at #8.

he had the flu up until early wednesday as I've heard so hydration was not up to par, and If you know about cramping, If malnourished a week sometimes a week and a half before it can effect you.

Nothing pisses me off more than announcers saying "It's just a cramp". That shite is excruciating.

Charles Woodson, 1997
(He is the only person to win it being a primarily defensive player, but back in the day the players played both offense and defense.)

Cramps are terrible, but the announcers say it that way because it does not require as much recovery time or remedy.

as much as I hate most announcers - I don't see why that pisses you off.

It just means - he is not injured.

Craps hurt like shite, true. But they go away and you are good as new.

A broken bone hurts like shite - but you don't go back in the game for a while.

LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson has battled flu symptoms but is expected to play today ...

“I was still cramping,” Peterson said. “I don’t think I let my team down. It happens. Last week I had the flu and wasn’t feeling too well and they had to give me fluids. It showed up this week in the game.”
