2019 Champion Andre Anthony

Coach Andre Anthony just got coach of the year in 2026 after bringing Bonnabel HS in NOLA to the playoffs for the first time in almost 30 years.
He did a sit down interview to talk about his first year there.

That dude seemed to always be on the verge of breaking out and unfortunately experiencing some kind of set back. In spite of that, he always had a smile on his face and seemed to have a great attitude. Happy to see him succeed but not surprised.

I found out during the whole saga a couple months back that he is Karmelo Anthony's cousin
Happy for him, and nice to see someone in the family doing something productive.

May go catch a game this year over in Kenna, Bruh. Andre was a great player who got held back by injury, and you never heard a negative thing about em. Always seemed like a great teammate. happy to see him having success

He was a finalist for the De La Salle job. I think there were a lot of alums that wanted him, but school went different direction.

Wasn't Anthony the guy that Orgeron or someone said was walking around campus and to class with bricks in his backpack? I don't know why I remember that but I do.

I thought Andre is his uncle. There are pictures of a younger Karmelo and his parents on the field at LSU.

I believe that was Ray Thornton. I always got them confused lol. As unfortunate as it was that Andre tore his ACL against Central Michigan, at least he got to return a fumble for a TD in that game.
