re: Start/Stop technology on newer cars....worth it? - montrose on 2/7/18 at 9:51 pm
I have it in a 2014 lacrosse e-assist and have had no problems with it. I was told it would be standard in their vehicles this coming year. Once you drive it a while you don't notice it....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Highspeed internet in rural area - montrose on 1/17/18 at 3:19 pm
AT&T is offering a new rural fixed wireless internet service in some states presently and are supposed to expand over the next couple of years. You might check that for your area....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: DNA test kits and Promethease - montrose on 12/28/17 at 9:42 pm
I submitted my autosomal results from FTDNA. I think promethease can use Ancestry.com autosomal now and maybe 23&me too. I'd check the promethease home page. Basically the autosomal test are the same but some companies annalyze some different genes I think. I like ancestry for their family trees but...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: DNA test kits and Promethease - montrose on 12/28/17 at 9:24 pm
Yes I have done the promethease. Basically they compare your test results against a data base to determine how likely you are to have certain diseases, health problems or drug reactions. You will be very surprised at how accurate it is....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Home Video Security Questions for an idiot.... - montrose on 7/22/17 at 10:18 am
I have a similar setup about 2 yrs. old with no sound on it which they now have. It works well over my hotspot internet and I probably have some cameras 200 ft. away from the base. Batteries last 4-6 months depending on use or location and each camera uses 4 batteries. I buy 12 for $16 on Amazon but...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: New Water Heater - Tankless or not? - montrose on 12/23/16 at 7:06 pm
Yes. Since you have one I was curious that when your electricity goes out in a storm or for an extended period of time does the tankless water heater continue to operate? We have a gas tank water heater and the pilot stays lit and the hot water continues even throughout a power outage. The r...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Officiating and questions about offsetting penalties - montrose on 11/7/16 at 8:14 pm
#33 and #15 for Alabama should have been ejected for those cheap shots and I am still looking for the LSU foul on that play.
The first flag was thrown for a cheap shot by a Bama player towards the end of the play
...

re: Satellite internet recommendations - montrose on 9/21/16 at 7:27 am
I currently use a Sprint hotspot with a 30 GB plan and 10 GB additional shared with phone which is 40 total for $110. Of the satellites I have fooled with Hughesnet Gen 4 seems the best. They have a business plan which has pretty good data limit for about a $100 or so which I would check out. I don'...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Has anyone here used the AncestryDNA test? - montrose on 6/19/16 at 7:58 pm
You can also download your test results and run this Promethease report that will compare your genes to a database of medications, diseases, etc. and you will be amazed at what it will tell about your health and the probabilities of you having certain allergies, cancer, diseases and other conditions...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Has anyone here used the AncestryDNA test? - montrose on 6/19/16 at 6:57 pm
I have done it and it is a help in verifying your family tree. Their system checks your family tree against your matches to identify common ancestors. I've fooled with it for several years along with other services and it can be fairly accurate for what it does....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Internet for out in the boonies - montrose on 6/2/16 at 8:28 pm
ETA, I may even check out Sprint or T-Mobile plans too
If you have Sprint lte in the area they have a 30 GB + 10GB shared plan for $110 on a Hotspot. I have it and it works OK but don't expect to stream a lot of Movies. One LSU baseball game eats 6-7 Gb. So you would be lucky to se...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Seriously Great Game Florida.... - montrose on 5/26/16 at 8:12 am
I just don't understand what the 3rd base ump was looking at. I mean he is straddling the foul line about 20ft from where the play happened. How do you miss that?
This...
