Some takeaways from last night

Mothershed will cause our opponents some real problems. Can you imagine what he and Green will be like on the same field? Matchup nightmares.
Leavitt is getting much much better as a passer. Still needs to learn that every pass isn’t going to do what you want (see the interception and lip reading Lane’s “gotdammit Sam) tells me it will addressed.
If Clark can learn some touch the goal line plays with him will have some open receivers he (and Lane/ CWJr) can exploit a defense with.
Berry is learning to trust his line. I only saw him try to bounce it outside once. On the pass plays he was in on, he seemed to be positioning himself as a great safety release. That may be due to his weakness as pass pro back but not sure.
And I love the fact that when Watkins was struggling Lane wasn’t afraid to put someone else in his spot. That is such a breath of fresh air after last regime.
While it was “just McNeese” taking care of business early allowed us to get some of our futures some experience and coachable moments. I actually like the backups’ backups giving up 2 scores. Will make them more receptive to coaching and learning their positions.
Wilson and Barber by seasons end will doing great Tiger things.

We haven’t seen his full playbook on rb receptions yet.

You’re right on Winnie, but notice he kept him in the game to give him an opportunity to get a catch. Once he did, I don’t think he played again.

Perfect “stroke the thoroughbred” coaching - don’t send him straight to the doghouse yet still let him know he can’t drop sure TDs

Berry looking really good is REALLY encouraging, seeing our injury luck thus far.
