Did anyone submit a ballot for Open tickets next year?
I just got an email saying I’ve been allocated tickets for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday lol.
Apparently they are much easier to win than Masters tickets.

Tickets to all majors other than Masters are pretty accessible

I put in and haven’t heard anything. You have to buy all the tickets that they award you.

Log into your account on theopen.com and check. We did that yesterday and saw we had been allocated tickets to Tuesday & Saturday.

Where are you planning on staying? We're staying in Edinburgh. We don't plan on renting a car, so we needed to be near a train station. Everything anywhere remotely close to St. Andrews appears to be very inflated pricing due to the tournament.

Edinburgh is a fantastic city. I lived north of St Andrews for 3 years . Edinburgh may be my favorite city. Traveling via train is the way to go.

I see there is some sort of M-pass that supposedly lets you book any train or bus throughout Scotland for a flat rate. They have a 4-day & 8-day pass. There is some mention of non-peak routes only. Do you know if they honor this during The Open week?

I got Sun, Mon and Tues but I have a work event that will be a week earlier in 2027 and now conflicts, so I cannot attend.
I need to research if I can resell them to friends who may want them.
You can decline to purchase. What you cannot do is cherry pick what you order. Meaning, if I buy, I have to buy 4 tickets for all 3 days I requested and was awarded. The total for the 12 tickets is 600 pounds, which would be a deal - other than the fact that you have to travel there.

That's a good question that I don't have an answer for. We traveled all over and never had issue with that. I do think there are some time (peak hours) restrictions
