BR front page headline “Alarming” sends Kelly his first warning

Not “Disappointing ”, but “Alarming” That was The Advocate’s front page first shot over Kelly’s bow, it was a warning shot to Kelly. Don’t recall Saban ever receiving one so early, but Saban wasn’t being paid $100 million either.
Currently at LSU, Kelly has a mixed bag of some very talented players and coaches, and some not talented enough for the SEC. I think the warning to Kelly was this, you don’t have enough talented coaching either, after Kelly blamed much of LSU’s embarrassing loss on his players to reporters.The TD PD will probably lock this thread too, but we are all just trying to help Kelly solve what’s needed to be solved.

Losing is acceptable and expected this year, especially to a top 10 team on the come up.

I didn’t realize the Advocate had the ability to fire a coach. I guess he should be worried about that “warning”.

Kelly has the least original OC on the planet.
Denbrock sucked long ago and still sucks. CBK went and brought this noncreative washed up OC to the toughest conference and spent all offseason preparing an inaccurate QB.

The amount of people on this board that are perfectly OK with LSU getting blown out at home as if we were a FCS school is actually a bit disturbing.
I mean...we're not even improving. We've fallen behind by double digits against every single P5 team we've played. We looked just as sloppy, lost, and careless against Tennessee as we did against Florida State.

Yep, just because the staff has some legitimate excuses does not mean the staff doesn’t also have legitimate problems.

The danger of hiring an established coach is they like to surround themselves with people they're comfortable with, not necessarily the best people.

I’m calling out the advocate the primary paper in Baton Rouge for having a hipster girl from Texas with no ties to LSU as their beat reporter. One who was unprofessional in her interactions with Brian Kelly.
The hometown paper is expected to be a homer.
