Haven’t seen a thread on them doing shady stuff in a long time. I remember hearing horror stories about the shite they pulled, apparently someone in the govt gave them a pass for almost everything.

Randomly popped in my head about how they were the most hated thing in Baton Rouge for a while

Honestly haven’t heard too much about them either and used to all the time. They are the fricking worst people you’ll ever meet though

They're definitely still around. I don't think they are as blatantly sketchy/illegal as they were just two or three years ago. They seem to be keeping a fairly low profile.

They're still assholes who should all burn in hell, though.

man it was so bad a few years ago. There were so many stories about people getting towed that had done nothing wrong. It didn’t matter because once they had your car you weren’t getting it back without paying no matter the circumstance of the tow

Not only would they tow anyone anywhere, but sometimes there’d be no one at the tow yard. Damn idiot place would be closed, holding my car hostage.

Yep and then you’d get popped with a fee for keeping it there longer. The place was pure evil

I remember when State Police busted them for illegal staging. That should be the end of a tow company's business IMO.

There was some serious heat on Riverside for a while. And rightfully so. They are a bunch of douchebags.

frick that company. Got towed by them twice

1) Parked in front of Pita Pit to grab some food between two summer classes. I put my food in my car then crossed the street to grab a side of fries at 5 Guys. I’m literally there 5 minutes and my car is gone when i come back

2) Parked in the visitors section for a sorority event pregame. I left my key on my tire because i tend to lose shite when I’m drunk. I get back to my car and had to pay the towing charge & buy a $250 new key

I remember when that 5 guys opened Riverside made so much fricking money doing that. They had people stationed out watching the parking lot and if you crossed the street they had you and in minutes your car was gone

I was one of those victims. This was probably a few weeks after that Chipotle and 5 Guys opened

Riverside was the absolute worst when I was at LSU. My friend and I got towed from his apartment one night because he had a resident tag and parked in a visitor spot and I was parked in his spot. We were there maybe 15 minutes and the cars were gone. Then had to wake up the next morning and pay for them because they closed the lot when our cars got there.

Riverside towed my car from the CVS parking lot while I was inside of CVS in 2013.

I tried reasoning with those criminals but they wouldn't budge. They always had a city cop standing by their gate so I could not just force my way in to get my car. So, I took the legal route and lost. That group gives money to the police and city court system so they can be protected no matter what.

I can guarantee that they will tow the wrong persons car one day and the car owner won't show up there to talk about it if you know what I mean.

I did find a way to get to those frickers though. Since they refuse to give change, (example: if your tow fee is $210 and all you have is $220 in $20 bills, they won't give you $10 back and the receipt says $210) I call on a regualr basis and report them to the IRS. I'm sure they are not reporting that change they do not give which is tax fraud. Their silly little kick backs to the city government won't protect them from the IRS.
