I really like how O came out this week and was very honest about how disappointed he was with the kick offs and that the competition has been opened back up. Miles would have never done this, he was ticked off when O came out and said he was not happy with Etling's play during the Spring game. I love the ACCOUNTABILITY! Do you job or sit. And he is using every avenue to let the players know how he feels....whether its through the media or in house. He's not f'n around. Pretty damn refreshing.

It's truly amazing a major program can not find a kicker to kick every kickoff into the end zone.

A directional kick is a kick that can be of great opportunity when avoiding the illegal procedure.

One you can't understand what he's saying, the other you can't understand what he's saying.

Nah, it's just you like Ed Orgeron so you assign a positive value to that behavior .
Miles did that and he was throwing players under the bus and passing the buck because it's the coach's responsibility to have the players ready to perform .

It's all perception designed to fit the pro Orgeron agenda.

I'm not meaning for this to be an Anti-Miles thread....honestly. Just pointing out something that I think will be a big positive for us going forward.

I'm not sure which is which in this statement. While I'm from Louisiana, I've never had an accent and people outside LA are surprised that's where I'm from.

That said, I have a hell of a lot easier time understanding Orgeron than I did Miles. I mean, I probably understood all of the individual words that Miles was saying better, but once combined in sentences, it was usually unintelligible

It's the strangest thing. I remember the talk about Gamble having this bionic leg and suddenly he can't get past the 5 or shanks the kick out of bounds.

Time to add more shadow staff that can coach kickers.

Why?

Has he underachieved with wheelbarrows full of NFL talent?

Has he used other schools to negotiate a raise?

Did he hire his friends who had gotten fired elsewhere as his coordinators?

Did he promise he'd change things, only to not change things?

Did he shite the bed on national TV on 1/9/2012?

I believe the plan is to kick it high and deep...close to the goal line and have coverage team keep them pinned inside the 20. Touch backs come out to the 25. Risk/reward scenario.
