Don’t know much about the history of Vikings and am interested in learning more. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have a set CDs of great courses on the Vikings if you’d like to borrow it. Pretty good overview. 18 hours.

I've read a bunch of Viking age sagas that I've really enjoyed. Sagas of the Icelanders has a bunch of different sagas in there. Saga of the Volsungs and Saga of Ragnar Lothbrok were both good. Njal's Saga was another one I enjoyed. I read a book called The Viking Spirit by Daniel McCoy that was pretty good. Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman was a really fun read. These might not be specifically what you're looking for, but I thought they were all good.

For Viking inspired fantasy I can recommend Shadow of the Gods, the first book in a trilogy.

The Bloodsworn trilogy by John Gwynne. It’s fantasy but Viking inspired. You will thank me later.
