I called the RV park this morning, and was told that they do not have a boat ramp which is open to the public....

Sorry for the necro-bump here, but has anyone launched out of Reggio recently? The new RV park have a ramp? Bait, ice, etc? Looking to put a 16' flat in there this weekend....

Daryl Carpenter or Capt. Frank ...
Yeah, this is a tricky one. You said that the card expired, so I'd reckon that a decent enough attorney could argue that, at the time of filling out the 4473, you were indeed not unlawfully using marijuana. OBLIGATORY DISCLAIMER: I am not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice. You know, ther...

re: Good concealed carry calibers?

Modern-day 9mm defense rounds (Federal HST, Speer Gold Dot, etc) have been pretty proven to be sufficient at stopping a threat. I do like .45 AARP, especially in my USP, but prefer to carry 9mm for better concealability/capacity factor. The recent micro 9 market provides plenty of great options:...

I emailed them mid last week and they informed me that they are currently processing January paper applications. They did say that I could push an online application through and it should speed things up. Mind you I have already paid them via money order and did my prints, all in person at the LSP H...

I dun' goof'd. I went to LSP HQ and did my prints in person, but I also handed in a paper (hard copy) application. I received an e-mail from them today saying that they're processing January paper apps right now. I figured that as long as I hand it directly to them, that I would be in the express la...

Good trout are showing up on the rocks. Just need some stable conditions to get out there. It will be real good real soon. Throw topwaters early and I wouldn't leave the dock without live shrimp. 3' under your favorite popping cork....

I had to do this on my old flatboat. I bought it from a guy, who bought it from a guy, yada yada. In Louisiana, it's called an affidavit of boat ownership. You have to file it with the justice of the peace. A judge signs it, they send it off to wildlife and fisheries. Wildlife reviews it, and th...

re: "Soft mouths" Speckled trout

Kahle hooks FTW - always in the corner of the mouth which is more rigid than their upper/lower jaws where there are spots of soft skin. With flounder - I find they have tough mouths, but i've heard that a lot of times they aren't even hooked - they just hold on to the bait until they see the boa...

I recently got a Duracraft 1660 Center Console. It was used, from 2001, but I got a steal of a deal. After taking it in the water about a dozen times now, the one feature that stands out about it time and time again is how wide it is (60"). Extremely stable and spacious for a 16'4" boat. Two people ...

I recently bought a 16' duracraft CC and had to put one of these on the trailer to get it to fit in the garage. I bought the Fulton kit off of Amazon. It's a great kit, comes with all of the hardware, even a center punch to start your pilot holes. It uses 1/2" bolts so it's pretty heavy duty stu...

Managed 12 pretty trout in Chalmette yesterday - most came on sliding corks by Boh Bros. That bite shut down and we bounced around picking a fish or two here and there and that's it. ...
