Can someone explain this to me like I am five years old?

That nonresidents can purchase handguns in other states. I tried to buy a pistol at bass pro in Pearl MS and the guy looked at me like I was an idiot. Bought a few rifles and a shotgun at Vans in Brandon no problem.

Currently you can buy a long gun across state lines (this is/was only touching states but not sure if that’s still the case) but not pistols.
To buy a pistol in another state you had to pay for the pistol, ship it to a dealer in your state, and then pay transfer fees.
This ruling says that’s unlawful.

It always was a stupid law. You can buy a long gun in another state, but not a handgun, what sense does that make?
