There have been too many assumptions made. We do not know who was really behind all this. It could just be Sankey alone. He called the meeting and filed the lawsuit but it doesn’t necessarily mean all the SEC schools would have fell in line with him. Nothing wrong with attending a meeting he called only to say we aren’t voting to sanction or expel LSU.

I was never on board with the whole “SEC Brotherhood” nonsense. I always suspected they all hated us, and what the SEC is trying to pull while watching fans of other conference schools cheer them on has only confirmed those suspicions.

Oh yes I wanted to see Alabama win another National Title and make it that much easier for them to poach top Louisiana talent from LSU. That's exactly what you were cheering for when you cheered "SEC, SEC".
You don't hear that type of thing from any other conference.

From what I can remember, there was a brief moment of time in the early 2000s where the entire SEC as a whole was looked down upon by the sports media and west coast journalists as being the lesser than conference in comparison to the media darlings like the Big 10 and PAC-10. Even LSU natty was decided to be “shared” with USC by the AP. There was a chip on the conference as a whole shoulder because of this. So at the time when an SEC school would demolish a OOC school, the SEC chant made sense. Those days ended once the conference became a juggernaut and Saban started the Alabama dynasty
