Leavitt year 2….

I know people don’t want to hear it but Leavitt is really a year away. Can see him winning the Heisman next year with more continuity in the system. Not saying this year is a waste but next year is really his time to shine.

Believe or not, I said the same thing about burrow and jd5 in year one, even bet jd5 to win the heisman before year 2. Would make the same bet for Leavitt.

THIS RIGHT HERE. I am no QB Coach but how can he expect his receivers to get open if he doesn't stay in the pocket long enough for them to get more than 5 yards from the line of scrimmage? I get scrambling if you are about to be sacked (which happened quite a bit with our weak O line play).
But there were plenty of times in the last 3 games when he took off when he was protected. He needs to sit still and let his guys get open.
He also needs to work on his throwing accuracy while scrambling. Because we all saw that and it wasn't pretty.

Just needs to relax and grow within the offense. It's pretty clear he won't ever be a deadly accurate passer, he just needs to relax and start hitting the easy ones.

But kiffin will be. I trust him on the offensive side of the ball regardless of who the OC is. Still his offense.

Go back and look at Burrow’s and Daniel’s first year vs their second year. There was a dramatic difference.

I remember people on this board clamoring for nuss when jd5 was the starter, so pretty much the same. I remember going to lsu’s second game of jd5 heisman year against Arkansas and people in the stands were screaming to put nuss in. 5 went on the win the heisman than year…
