QB LaNorris Sellers had opportunities to leave South Carolina this offseason. His father told The Athletic's Bruce Feldman that his son received a close to $10 million offer to transfer out of South Carolina...
quote:

"He was offered all kinds of crazy numbers," Norris said. "I told him he could say, I’m gonna stay or I’m gonna go. By my two cents: It was to get into college on a scholarship, play ball, get our degree and go on about our business. This NIL deal came later. We didn’t come here to make money. We came here to get our education, play ball, and with schools calling, we’re not gonna jump ship because they’re offering more than what we’re getting. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it."

Is Clemson buying players now? I recall Dabo being on an island pretty much on this subject.

What he really means is someone contacted his NIL agent and put out feelers by throwing out numbers to see if he could guage interest. There was no real offer.

And this mindset is exactly why college sports has went down the drain. Utterly ridiculous how most power 4 head coaches has to fight and claw 20 other teams away every year now just to keep his team somewhat in tact. I hate what college football has become. You couldn’t beg me enough to be a college football HC with all the bullshite they have to go through on a yearly basis now.

The tweet is from "No3sports", a parody account. So the Clemson stuff is fake news.

The quote from his dad *is* real, though I don't know where Larry got the $10mil from, I read the article and it says 8. Larry gon' Larry, I guess.

Anyway, sounds like a kid that has a good head on his shoulders and good support system from his family.

You guys are hilariously bad at reading comprehension and judging people. Ever listen to the kid interview? Ever hear even a mention of him having character issues? But yeah, lets assume he's lying or dumb or whatever else you lot cook up. He was offered $8 million over 2 years. That means $4 million a year. Spencer Rattler was getting $1.5 from NIL. What do you think Sellers is currently getting?

A planted story bud, cap, maybe use critical thinking. You got to be an SC to believe this.

Dad is a fricking moron. And why a son would listen to his dad about a job offer, is truly a mystery. That idiot hasn't seen 8M ever
