Pinkel was just good enough to keep a mediocre fan base happy and not bad enough for that same fan base from wanting change. He never won anything, he didn't make coaching changes in order to improve the program or recruiting, he only gets better in hindsight. Drink has jokes, he recruits better but on Saturdays he manages to underperformed. Problem is there is no crystal ball to show the AD which replacement is better than mediocre and which is worse. Would we be Indiana or Arkansas?

Pinkel wasn't great with the adjustments either. On fact Drink and Pinkel are very similar in their actual as long football acumen. Both were outclassed often, and though likeable men, neither were known for top level coaching skills.

Depends how ESPN wants to play this. Do they really put the SEC at a disadvantage or do they pull strings and push more SEC teams through. They control the CFP.

We don't play shifty teams on purpose. A&M and OU looked daunting when the schedule came out. Florida nosedived, we need UK to not slip before we play. Is Texas now broken? Only team we can count on is UGA. And we figure out a way to play tough even if we don't win.

The difference is SEC rosters play a schedule with other SEC rosters, not Purdue, Stanford and the rest of that trash schedule. At least show some balls and call Ole Miss, Mizzou, UT and work yourself up if you can.

We want Mizzou to win. If Simmons guides Mizzou past Ole Miss with Chambliss and Texas with Manning all without Hardy, he shoots up the draft boards.

None of the other so called top QB prospects throw with the anticipation, accuracy and velocity of Simmons. They all have good traits, but none have them all like Simmons. Simmons only question is number of starts, but if he manages this gauntlet that includes 2 top prospects, then we will have a problem keeping him.
