You mean like the fans thought Pribula was better than the starter at PSU?
There's no real rush unless Drink will push Pribula out the door and look for another transfer. A transfer QB will want to talk to the OC to see if its a good fit.

I don't think Drink processes Pribula. He's not that type of coach. The best we can hope is an honest competition between him and Zollers for 2026.

This is where a Petrino would be good for Mizzou. He would insist on starting the best player for his offense. I fear a G5 OC would be stuck with the QB Drink selected.

How does a NIL agent have him sign a contract with a punitive clause? He should be sued for inadequate representation.

Kid signs a $500k NIL deal. Gets $30k

Contract says if you transfer, you hurt us so badly, that you have to pay us $390k.

It's a straight up punitive clause for exercising a right given by the courts and governing body, the NCAA.

BTW, Mizzou paid the $30k back to UGA. The transfer school not only pays the kid a new NIL deal, they also pay the buyout in most cases.
He mentioned not coming to Mizzou if Drink left but not Moore.

Have you seen Warren play? I know Millard South shut them down hard in the playoff game.

They did lose 1, so they signed 2.
Sorry, the point i was making was that I don't think that Moore is returning because he wasn't involved in QB recruiting.which usually Moore is involved as OC.
Plus when recruiting Rocco Marriot it was Drink only. For QBs in the past Moore was always involved.
Moore's contract expired on his way home from Arkansas. There is no buzz on a new contract. The OC line item has a nice budget, if he gives that money to Moore, that will upset more than a few people.

He's recruited very well for the OL. Jones may have the skills to contribute in 2026. But the other young guys should see action next year. Keeping Olugbode is key for the WR room. RB room is in great shape. Same with LB. DL depends if Wilson returns. If not, then the ends will be hard to replace and we lose a really good DT in McClellan. DBs have some young talent, but coaching is the question.
He came in and was trying to teach zone blocking, but wasn't getting his message across. Dont think it was lack of knowledge just lack of process at the time. Anyway the line looked bad and he was let go.
We could use Johnnie Jones tho.
The 1 question no one is asking about the PSU job is "how bad is their NIL plan right now?" Drink was attractive because of Mizzous NIL which is regarded as o e of the best models in the country. PSUs plan must be infantile to scare off candidates.

They have now lost 2 non Sexton candidates.
But still only Co-offensive coordinator. Weis JR is the real OC. Im impressed with Cox because he dug up Chambliss after Ole miss missed on Pribula

Looks like Nickerson is in play to return to Mississippi State. Guess we didn't beat them down enough.
Joe Cox from Ole Miss now LSU.
Hilson will be gone. Hopkins passed him for playing time.
