PIC: Mississippi State Football Now Calls Its Campus “Stark Vegas”?

Humorous nickname that invokes irony. Been used for years. Guess some folk don't follow SEC football much.

Starkghanistan.

Ummm, MSU students were calling it that when I first moved there in '89. Not like its anything new.

Prime time journalism Larry. People have been calling it Starkvegas since before I was born. It's just a cool name. Not a reference comparing Starkville to Las Vegas.

It's like Vegas but with more Mobile Homes and Less Teeth.

They do the same thing with Nashville. They call Nashville- Nashvegas. Adding "vegas" to the end of any name makes me go a big rubbery one.

Everything sports related is new to Larry.

I just don't get it. How does Vegas fit into the equation? There is absolutely nothing in Starksville.
