SEC commissioner Greg Sankey was on The Dan Patrick Show this week and called out programs from the Big Ten and ACC for canceling games against SEC teams due to the "College Football Playoff selection process." Per On3:
quote:

“I’ve been the recipient of plenty of side comments about good of the game,” Sankey told Patrick. “When programs like when Wake Forest notifies Ole Miss the day before their first game of a home-and-home series and says that they’re not playing the one back in Oxford, that’s a problem. When Nebraska cancels an agreement to play Tennessee home-and-home and cites the College Football Playoff selection process as a fundamental reason why, we have to understand the College Football Playoff selection process is threatening the regular season and not supporting it.”

Can't blame them. The committee proved last year that playing a tougher schedule means nothing.

One benefit of the BCS computer rankings was that teams seeked out tough opponents to beef up their SOS. You got some good matchups out of it. Now, the good matchups are in postseason play. Six one way / half dozen the other. Boo hoo, Greg; "Good of the game" my arse. This guy only cries when his wallet isn't bursting with cash.

He wasn't calling out those conferences, he was calling out the CFP committee for putting in shite like SMU, Boise, Indiana and Arizona State. The CFP fricked up and went off won loss records or they won some conference that sux. Hell, Clemson shouldn't even have been in. They played 2 SEC teams last year and got road grated by both.

Greg it is called gamesmanship. Unfortunately the committee has made it know Quality opponents can only hurt your chances of getting in. All wins count equally big and small.

Sankey helped create the disparity and is now complaining that other conferences aren't buying into the corporate manipulation structure.
The other conferences are fine with letting the SEC eat its own by creating three loss teams that are better than two loss ACC or B1G programs. Nobody wants to watch a three loss team win a Natty.
