The SEC is heading to ABC and ESPN. On Thursday, the SEC on ABC unveiled its song for the 2024 season. Thumbs up or down?

Sounds like the background music to a shitty video game I played when I was 10.

i think it will change depending on the game. This is probably the Florida opener. I am sure they have one for each team for the different games

Thats turble. So they showcase OU and UT helmets with the SEC emblem at the beginning. Screw that. UT had way more screen time than anybody. The only action play showing LSU is Max Johnson getting sacked. At the end of the music it felt like I should hear, "Hello San Diego, I'm Ron Burgundy".

I decided to read the comments first, and, yeah, it is a little soft for football. Sounds like I'm about to watch golf or tennis.

I am 51 and don’t remember this intro song. CBS was iconic and felt bigger

"Ron Franklin & Mike Gottfried here on a balmy Saturday night in Tiger Stadium as Dameyune Craig and the Auburn Tigers make the trip down to Ba-TON Rouge to face the Gerry DiNardo led Bayou Bengals" Give me the 90s back baby!!

Ron Franklin and Mike Gottfried were the GOAT.

I like the idea they were trying to do, but I'm not crazy about the execution of it.

Not bad but the original is a bit better. More dynamic and energetic.

It sounds like the opening of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom...I think it was. A gator is fixin to eat a wildebeest.

Hate to say it but all the negative comments below are correct.

This is a revision of ESPN's staple CFB intro song in the mid 90's to early 2000's. Unfortunately the old version is better. I at least give them props at an attempt to stick with tradition. CBS raided the vault and dusted off their 80's intro song when they landed the SEC on CBS contract, and did not revise it one bit. The first time they played it I was excited that they brought it back, and it stuck for over two decades. I would have felt the same way if it was untouched, but if you are going to revise it, at least add excitement to it.

Just go back to the original that rocked from the '90s. This version sounds worse.
