We will be staying at a hotel in the national park. Adults only, no kids. Seeking recommendations on activities in Zion for 2 days (ex. hikes, renting ATV's, etc.). Anything we must do?

Also we aren't looking to get outside of Zion - so avoiding any recommendations to visit surrounding areas at this point. Cheers!

Hike the Narrows one day. It's a slot canyon with a stream running through it that goes for miles. You will be able to walk the banks for some and have to walk through the water for some, but the views are amazing!
You might also look at hiking up to Angel's Landing, if you're not afraid of heights and are fairly active.

Google both of them for pictures.

I've looked into the Narrows before. If you do the Narrows, make sure you rent the proper clothing. I am pretty sure I would need the dry pants, but some people can probably get by with neoprene socks. Having cold feel would make me miserable. Outfitters up there will tell you what you need.

We're headed out there on Monday. Make sure and check their site for closures. Also, there's no cars allowed on the scenic drive during this time of year. They have a shuttle that you park and get on...BUT it's very limited this year, due to covid. They release a limited amount of tickets, 2 week blocks, 2 weeks ahead of time. (Ex: Oct 1-15, released mid September). I logged in at exactly 9am when they were released and they were disappearing FAST. They're only $1 to reserve, but go quickly.

We're doing the Narrows one day and plan to check with an outfitter in town and see if we need the pants or not. The flow rate is very low currently and looks great.
Zion Guru has a great site with all this info and more.

Angel's landing top section (the chains) is closed, due to Covid. Which is a shame, because it looks great. There's a couple other big sections closed due to a rock slide.

The hike up to the chains point is still pretty great.

Daughter and I did The Narrows in mid-July this summer. We bought good tread water sandal shoes just for that, they worked well (no socks). Sort of like these:

Water wasn't so cold that you needed socks at the time. Also wore water shorts (basically swim trunks with good pockets) and t-shirt, and a wore a back pack with water/drinks/lunch.

Most important thing is to get a hiking stick of some sort. That third point of balance is key when walking on that rocky bottom in a swift current. We used the telescoping metal pole type, bought them at the Park's own gift store.

I was in utah this week last year... it snowed at 10k feet, less than an hour away from Zion. Water is pretty cool right now, especially when you're in the shade. With that said, I absolutely recommend doing it.

Thanks Jmarto! Much appreciated.

The chains looks awesome. That’s on the list. We also plan to rent ATV’s / side-by-sides one day.
