I spent an hour watching the grizzly, known as 399, and her 4 cubs today
Were you a little south of Colter Bay, before Jackson Lake Lodge?
On our way out of YS we saw a few trucks pulled over and said they had been seeing 399 and cubs in that area. We waited about 15 mins but decided to move along.
Very cool pics!

I’ll have to look at a map but I was told she had been hanging out in the same area I saw her a lot.
You have to put the time in. I arrived at 230 and saw her at 430.

This...I went to Tetons/Yellowstone in Sept. of last year and we waited for a few hours as well. One suggestion I would give is befriend the park rangers..if you get lucky and find the right one they will sometimes have a good idea of time and places to see what you want.
We had one give us some pointers on where to find the wolves. Not only did we see a pack with cubs near their den like suggested but we saw 2 other packs roaming.
I would advise to get a decent telescope or binoculars for the wolves. They were more difficult to spot than the bears were.

Wow, what an awesome experience. Do you mind me asking where this was? Promise I’m not showing up ahead of you to steal your spot, but we will be in Tetons/Yellowstone in 3 weeks (leave July 10) and love to see some wildlife while we’re there.
We were there in early May. We went to the National Elk Refuge two nights in a row and saw big horn sheep up close. You can even ride a bike through there which we did from our hotel.

Cool recap! We're leaving 6/27 and coming back 7/11. Heading to Rushmore, Badlands, Wind Cave, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton. Looking forward to it even know it will be about a 6k mile drive.

The Jackson Hole airport is pretty cool. It is small but a great combination of rustic and modern.
I just flew out of Jackson hole airport, and I must say it is astonishing.
nothing special about the airport itself (although rustic and modern is a perfect description), but it's in grand Teton national park and the backdrop is stunning. as we were driving up, it was almost surreal to look at. JAC is the only airport located inside a national park.

4 Cubs is incredible, has to be extremely rare.

Try flying to Florida in the summer from there. You go from 40s at night with 0 humidity to walking off the plane to humidity at 90% and 90* at night.
Jackson hole is an amazing place. Summer and winter alike.
