Winter vacation ideas

So here's the thing. Wife and I have never snow skied and not averted to it, but I think I'm going to lose interest in it pretty quick. Is there enough to occupy our time at a ski resort outside of skiing?

Northstar Lake Tahoe. Awesome place to stay. About 20 minutes from Truckee, CA. Tons of cool restaurants and shops. Northstar has ice skating and tubing etc. However, skiing is awesome, not something you get “bored” of. My wife (Louisiana native) went for first time last year and is addicted. Is still talking about it.

Your kids can ski their little hearts out and get embarrassed by Norwegians, meanwhile you can eat some actual decent meals you pay out the absolute arse for. Maybe even go on a little sledding expedition you see a bunch of elk on and think you’re having fun.

Whistler is one of my favorites also. Problem is those pesky Canadians letting Americans in. We booked a trip there and cancelled before it was too late and we lost all our money.
