1. Houston for Super Bowl weekend.

2. Houston for the Minute Maid Classic.

3. Orange beach twice for the beach.

4. Omaha for the College World Series.

5. Puerto Rico for our yearly group trip.

6. Knoxville for the LSU football game.

I need to find a way to make more money so I can travel more often. So much out there to see.

I moved to China earlier this year, so I've been sticking around Sichuan. But I'm really excited to travel all around China in 2018 when I have free time. There are some new bullet train lines out of Sichuan that will make it easy to explore by train. I can probably check every place in China off my list by this time next year.

Lodi, California for a weekend trip to Michael David winery in April

New Orleans for a weekend, then drove to perido for a week in August

New Orleans for LSU BYU

New Orleans for saints Patriots

Lake keowee in South Carolina for a week.

Edmond Oklahoma for a couple weekends with friends

Norman, Lubbock, Morgantown, and of course ames for Iowa State games

Lots of miles in the air or on the road. New Orleans is a 7 hour drive and we did it 2 times driving and 2 times flying.

Yeah we made the drive like 9 hours to break it up. Stopped and got boudin in krotz springs, stopped for food in Shreveport, then stopped at buccees in Terrell. Still brutal though.

Not to mention, the drive back is usually accompanied by little sleep and a solid hangover.

Rather light for me...out of DC

France - Normandy and Paris....really surprised how much I loved Normandy (and I had high expectations for the WWII stuff)

Ireland - Wales - Did my annual trip over for rugby matches...getting too old for it, but love doing it

Mayrhofen, Austria - in the Zillertal, so beautiful, and the skiing was darn good....plus a really great Apres scene

Black River Falls, WI - family outing...great outdoors, too much food and drinks at the Supper Clubs, etc

Chicago - Cubs weekend in May
Boston - baseball weekend in August
Baltimore - went up for the whole weekend for a Cubs series...first time I had spent the night in Baltimore in about a decade

Outer Banks - week with the family at a beach house....too much beer, and the wives pissed off...a typical great vacation :)

Work

Quebec City - beautiful little city...would like to go again if not working

Portsmouth, NH - great little down town with decent restaurants

Charleston, SC - becoming a 2nd home

Chicago - always try and coincide with Cubs games
