What's your "Go To Shoe" for foreign travel?..

I used to take my Keen Targhee Waterproof hiking shoes for European travel. Or my Merrell, Moab 2 Waterproof hiking shoes. They both work great, but guess after a while they felt clunky and GorTex can make your feet sweat if it's not raining a lot.
Lately, have taken New Balance 877 V1 Walking Shoe for those 10-15k steps/day and a second pair to go out or walk some (All Bird Wool Runners).
But, in the market for something different and new. Not sure being waterproof or Gortex type shoes are necessary if you're not hiking in the woods.
Whatcha got?

I always have a pair of Vans slip-Ons. They’ll dress down to beach bars so dress up to restaurants when paired with chinos and a button up and act as morning or evening slippers, when walking around our hotel or apartment.
In addition to that I have a pair of casual blue sneakers that can also be worn sockless, with no shoes or with jeans/chinos for an evening out or dinner
Beyond that, flops if I’m going somewhere tropical and my running shoes.

GoRuck MACV-1. I took the mid height boots overseas recently. Awesome, awesome footwear. I've been on the Goretex train for decades, but I won't do it again. I prefer the drain holes which let my feet breathe. Also, their Merino Challenge socks are worth the cost. I massively prefer them over similar socks from Darn Tough, etc.

Last foreign travel I wore some Allbirds Runnerup Mizzles (wool mid-top sneakers that are water repellent) for long walking days. I have worn espadrilles in the past as well. I also bring leather loafers for dinners and such.

Chucks, I put running shoe insoles in my chucks and they are very comfortable. I know most people don't think chucks are comfortable but with the insoles, they are good for me. They are my everyday shoe at home too.

I've never really thought about it. Usually pack a pair of old Brooks running shoes and Cole Haan loafers. Maybe flip flops if I'm headed to the beach

Except true GI includes the steel in the sole, which, when it's cold, sucks heat out of your feet like nearly nothing else. Hence MACV-1 from GoRuck. They're also more comfortable than any sneaker I've ever worn, and quicklace is alright alright alright.

‘cept didn’t have those in my day. Besides, the steel insert is easily removed…

I've worn All Birds Tree Runners for my Euro trips.
Great for walking all day and can be dressed up or down.
