Mine is the 17.7 mile Dawson Pitamakan trail in Glacier.

That would kill me. I'll go with Iceberg Lake in Glacier. Around 10 miles round trip, only a modest altitude gain, good chance to see brown bear and moose, very scenic, huckleberry ice-cream in the lodge gift shop at the end.

The last time we were on it they closed the trail because of a brown bear mother and cub, but we didn't know since we'd already set out. On the way back there were no hikers at all coming up so we had a good idea what was up.

Of all the trails I’ve done in Glacier, I haven’t done many out of Many.... I plan on doing Ptarmigan/Iceberg this summer as well as shooting for the Belly/Chief Mountain area. I did Grinnell Glacier a couple summers ago and it was incredible.

I have been to Glacier once and would love to go back. It’s a beautiful park. I went to Banff last summer and am going to the Tetons / Yellowstone this summer. I will get back around to Glacier again at some point.

I still haven’t been there

Very cool. The Tetons are going to blow you away. Unless you plan on doing some hiking, Yellowstone is going to offer more sightseeing though.

The most interesting hike I've ever been on was the Kalalau Trail in Kauai. The scenery is unbelievable.

This is not my photo:

Top 5 for me. It's nice you get in that range you could pick any for various reasons.

There are a few icefield access trails in JNU well. West Glacier gives you access to the ice caves

This trail can take you as far as the top of Mt McGinnis which is about a 4,000 ft vertical gain.

My favorite...because I can be at the trail head in an hour from my house.

Chimney Tops - Smokies before the fire...

After the fire...

I'm hoping for the return of the green Smokies i love when I take my next hike there.

We had a rough fire season last year that devastated parts of the Sperry Chalet area south and west of Gunsight Pass so who knows how long it’s gonna take for that area of the park to recover. It is a very popular route out of the Lake McDonald area towards Saint Mary with incredible backcountry sites. Trail crew is gonna have their hands full this summer getting it all cleaned up.

I am willing to bet the Mt. Brown Lookout, Snyder Lake, Lincoln Lake and Sperry Chalet Trail up to Lake Ellen Wilson will remain closed this season.

I feel you.

The Columbia river gorge has over 100 miles of hiking trails and its completely devastated. We will be lucky to hike there this upcoming summer and it'll take 25 years to even get close to what I remember.

My favorite local trail is there, Angels Rest.

I need to get into better shape and finally do the Presidential range traverse. Those mountains are brutal hiking. The trails go over every peak.

I did Mt. Washington via Boott Spur and Davis Path. It was tough but so beautiful.

I expect I will enjoy the Tetons - I wouldn't be going if I thought otherwise - but it will take an awful lot to really impress me in terms of mountain scenery.

Now that's cool. I have been to Kauai but have not done this trail. Did you encounter any parts where you felt a little unsure of your footing? I have heard there are some spots that are dangerous.

If I ever go back to Kauai I would love to find a way to get on Honopu Beach for a little while.
