I haven't been but I had family live there and get married there. If you are a golfer play the Couer d'Alene Resort Golf Course, they have a true island green that you have to ferry out to.

Get ready to see even more Confederate flags than you see in Louisiana.

Get ready to see some swastikas, too. (Which I don't think you see in Louisiana.)

Grew up near there.

Golf, spend time on the lake, fish, hike. Take a guided fly fishing trip on the St Joe River for Cutthroat trout.

Haven't been up there in years so will leave it to others for restaurant and event recommendations.

Beautiful area, enjoy.

You'll see more the closer you get to Sandpoint, I don't recall seeing much of this even back in the 80-90s. Maybe it's changed.

Yea - you won't see any of this.

CDA is beautiful. Reserve a night or two at a campground on Priest Lake up near Sandpoint.
