April 2022

Too many people. Made the best of it for the kids, but lots of hurrying to get into ride lines. Most food sucked. It's just not my thing.

The last time I went was when LSU played Penn State in the Capital One Bowl.
We spent 16 hours at the Magic Kingdom on New Year’s Eve. 10am until 2 the next morning. It was jam packed.

Bowl game -
Got rained on then froze and we lost the game at the end on a controversial penalty.

Other than that we had a good vacation.

September 2018. Supposed to have been a less busy period but the parks were pretty busy. It was to hot, 95 degrees at like 10am with 100% humidity. Would pour for like 10 minutes at 4pm everyday and just be a steam bath after. Have no clue how we would of made it with our kids since this was pre kids. If we ever go back it will be January February or whenever it's supposed to be cold there. I give that one a 3 out of 10. The trip before I got the flu while there. That one before I was sick I would say 7 out of 10 and it was early December 2017.

Went last year for thanksgiving.

I usually enjoy it but as of late they are making it more complex and expensive to enjoy. My biggest gripe is how often they have changed the fastpass/Genie Plus stuff. It's changed since the last time I went.

They are constantly adding and updating around each park so that is nice.

I feel like the crowds are the same as they have been in the past, just a steady increase from previous years. I think this time the family had more fun at Universal Studios though. There were less people so everyone had more opportunities for rides and attractions.

Pricing is going to be what eventually deters me from ever going back. They are now updating to different tiered tickets per park per day as well as different tiered "fast pass" from what I understand.

I enjoyed it okay. I also enjoyed knowing it would probably be my LAST TIME. This was 5-6 years ago, I guess.

Went this year after the hurricane , grandkids loved it . They are 3 and 8 . The ticket packages are confusing , enjoyed watching grandkids have fun. Not going back , six flags next time .

May 2022 - Hated it! Too crowded, too expensive and Genie+ sucks!

This coming from a family who went once per year (sometimes twice) from 2010 to 2019.

We now go to Universal but its usually only for 3 days due to its smaller size.

Went last Christmas Eve cause it’s my mom’s favorite place to take the kids. It wasn’t all that crowded, had a fun time and rode tons of rides. My uncle was the veteran of the day, which is a really cool thing that they do.

Went thanksgiving week. Only thing I enjoyed was the new guardians of the galaxy ride at Epcot. We went for 4 days. I spent 2 of the days at the resort hotel alone. That part was glorious. I complain so much at the parks that my family is happy for me to stay behind.

Was just there last Saturday and Sunday, Dec 5.

Saturday night we watcheD the first half of the LSU game in our off site condo then caught a Lyft to the contemporary to watch the second half at the lounge by Chef Mickeys. Bailed on the game on the 4th and went for drinks at Enchanted Rose then Trader Sams and had a great night.

Bought genie + and one individual lightning lane on Sunday for Guardians of the Galaxy and our longest wait all day was Barnstormer (about 20 minutes). Attractions done were Splash Mnt (twice), Big Thunder, Pirates, Space Mnt (twice), People Mover, Little Mermain, Barnstormer and Mine Train (because a cast member have us ILLs because it was my birthday and I answered his quiz of what Disney character I shared a birthday with - Walt), Philharmahic then hopped over to Epcot.

There we did Remy, Soarin, Test Track (twice), Spaceship Earth, Nemo, Three Caballeros, Guardians of the Galaxy, ate dinner in the festival food booths and watched Harmonious.

The only issue we had all day was credit card machines going down for a few hours and we had to delay lunch because I didn’t have much cash at all.
