so should be easy to get off.

Also check your bags. I always do on tight connections. Delta is really good about fast bag retrieval at the final destination.

You might be able to do 35 Mins in ATL if everything goes without a hitch.

You need to be close to the front of the plane, and your connecting terminal needs to not be on the other end of the airport.

If those are true, then as long as you aren't delayed landing or getting off the plane, you will probably make it.

Anything goes wrong, and you won't.

I try to avoid anything less than an hour in one of the big airports like ATL, DFW, ORD, LAX, etc...

Bump for some entertainment.

Today's the day . Just took a look and the inbound for my first flight is getting into Seattle 17 minutes late, meaning roughly 1 hr to turnaround this A350 back to Atlanta LINK I know I'm going to be delayed and likely miss the 35 min connection (although the gates are right next to each other in Atlanta, coming into E14 leaving from E16).

Determined to fly on the A350 so ill take a look and see what auto-rebooking options become available once the flight gets delayed (there's one more atl-jfk flight tonight). I haven't actually booked a hotel at JFK for tonight and my rental car pickup is set for 1130pm so pretty open to various routing options.

Funny this topic came up. I recently booked a flight for work travel in Mid September and while booking this thought crossed my mind but I figured it would be fine. American Airlines Flight connecting in Austin. Scheduled arrival to Austin is 8:35AM and next flight departs 9:06AM.

What are my chances?

Looks like they are estimating a 15 minute earlier arrival time into Atlanta.

Yeah they're estimating that (and just announced it over the loudspeaker) but doubt it happens. Still deplaning from the inbound since it just got here. Boarding time is supposed to be 10:45am, new flight crew is just getting on now.

Here's the flight to Atlanta for those interested DL 869

Here's the flight to JFK DL 860

JFK flight is literally the next gate over in Terminal E so there's a decent chance I make it as long as we leave here by noon. I should buy a lotto ticket that the Delta gods gave me adjacent gates in Atlanta out of the 7 possible terminals there

I've only been to the Austin airport once but don't remember it being that large, 30 min is likely enough time there

Oddly enough already boarded and I'm in row 17 so very close to the main boarding door to get off once in ATL

Beauty

Big arse engines

Footrests in comfort plus!

Eta:Everyone is onboard and we have our paperwork, door just closed on-time! Ho-lee-shite I have a chance.

11:40am- Waiting on cargo door to close then we're off

11:50am- Just saw the cones move but still here at the gate

11:55am- Got the rebooking option on the app, really don't want to give up on the 745pm flight unless we don't take off from here soon

Took off late so tried auto rebooking via the app. Got rebooked to tomorrow instead of tonight...now working with them on tweetter to get back on a flight tonight

Next month I'm departing Hannover Germany (KLM) at 6am with an ETA of 7am Amsterdam. My next flight to Atlanta (Delta) departs at 8:20am.

Will I have to go through any customs once I arrive AMS or can I just get off the plane and walk to the ATL gate?

Any experience with Amsterdam and tight connections?

Thanks

Alright so connection time is down to 6 minutes so rebooked to a LaGuardia flight at 921pm with help from their Twitter team. Everything is now showing sold out for the rest of the night to NYC (LGA and EWR, JFK has one seat left), will have time to grab dinner at least in ATL. Luckily was able to also change the rental car pretty easily to LGA from JFK, no dropoff fees either with picking up at LGA and dropoff at JFK at Sunday.

Lessons learned:Be very careful when using the app to rebook to make sure you're looking at the correct date. Originally when browsing it showed today but at some point it switched to only searching tomorrow

Eta:Just landed in Atlanta at 7:21pm, but still need to taxi to the gate. Will post a time once at the gate and see if I would have made it.

Would have made it! Walked across the hall to the gate and they were doing final boarding calls, crazy!
