Find a guide, plan to eat the best steak you have ever had for $5 US. Enjoy.

Went skiing there one summer when I was in college. I don't remember too much other than the food was good and everyone wore a soccer jersey.

La Boca is a really cool area.

Everything is super cheap there.

We were only in Buenos Aires for one night but you've got to make dinner reservations at Don Julio. Awesome steakhouse. Get there a little early and enjoy champagne out front.

Palermo Soho was a cool area for shops, bars and restaurants. Everyone was friendly and we never felt unsafe in that area during the day or night. There’s a small brewery in the middle of the neighborhood. I’ll try to find the name. Get a beer and sit on the patio. Cool place to people watch.

This old cracker on a plane ride told me buenos aires was the most exciting city in the western hemisphere. His wife was some sort of dignatary in argentina.

Do NOT exchange money at the official rate, unless you just like throwing money away. It's very easy (and legal) to exchange money with the very many dealers on Florida street who will give you 25% more pesos for your dollars. You don't have to look for them, either -- they will be calling out to you as you walk down the street.
