So I posted before about taking our two daughters to London next summer because my Father in law traded houses with someone in Kent, England for 10 days. Well we weren't going to do it because airfare was looking like it was $1200-1500 each and it would be crazy to spend that and deal with our 2 daughters. Until I get a google flight reminder last night for $400 to Dublin. I was busy this morning but just checked it at lunch time and booked the hell out of that.

Taking our daughter who will be almost 4, 18 month old, and my wife and I for $1280 roundtrip total for all 4 from VPS (Destin) to Dublin. Will figure out the rest later. Pretty stoked. Love me some flight alerts!

ETA: Sorry meant to post flight info. This was late may early June through Air France/ Delta through Atlanta.

That's crazy cheap. I just saw some for $400 in May (out of New Orleans). We may make this my wife's graduation trip.

Agreed, but my flight tracker dropped from $1020 to $400. That's a pretty insane drop. Plus I'm flying from a regional airport so I have to connect somewhere in the states. With 2 kids I'm actually plenty happy to fly into Dublin as that is the shortest flight time anyway.

That's crazy cheap.
Plan on going to Ireland one day, did you download an app to get reminded? What'd you do?

Just set a google flight checker not sure what they call it, it just tells you when the price changes significanty like by $100. It's a great tool really.

Just go to goggle flights and search a route with your dates you are looking, and there is an option to set a tracker. Basically it just emails you anytime there is a change in the price. It probably emailed me once a week for this trip next summer, so I'm not sure if it's only on changes $20 or something or what.

I had no plans on this fare dropping like that, I wasn't even planning this trip anymore. I have no clue if it was some kind of flash sale, mistake, or what but it worked.

My father just booked round trip airfare from MSY to Rome for $430 round trip including fees. Europe is a cheaper trip now.

I was thinking of booking to Dublin for St Patty's, but prices have jumped back up. Maybe next year. Have fun!

Where are you guys flying out of with these rates?

I'm looking online and not seeing anything close to $400 r/t?

Thanks

It came and left that day, my rate is out of Destin (VPS). So we are taking a connecting flight to Atl then to Dublin for that. Back up to $800+. Lot of guys on here talking about other places for great rates too.

Euro and pound also way down right now. Would be a great time to set some flight trackers to see if anything drops the next couple of weeks again.
