Greetings. I’m looking for on the ground intel about traveling to Puerto Rico right now. I have spoken to my hotel and they have indicated that the only travelers being quarantined are those who arrive with a fever. The government’s travel site indicates the possibility of quarantine even without symptoms.

Additionally, does anyone know if tourist type businesses are operating (snorkeling, zip lining, etc.)? I’m getting mixed answers from the internet and calling around.

Any response is greatly appreciated.

Decided to pull the trigger and risk it. We’re on day three in Puerto Rico and most everything seems to be operating normally. Some restaurants and shops are closed, but by and large, we have been able to do everything we wanted to do. All of our excursions are open.

They are strict on mask wearing. When we arrived at the airport, we anticipated a screening by the National Guard. However, they did not take our temperature. They did collect our names and phone numbers. The lack of a temperature check may have been a courtesy from the Guard, as I am clearly military. They did offer free COVID screenings but we declined.

Finally, diat150 is correct. There are sexy brown ladies everywhere.

TLDR: Come on in, the waters just fine.

Do the snorkeling trip on the catamaran . If making beach drinks use Don q dum , it's better then Bacardi . Zip lining in the jungle was a blast . You'll have fun and the locals are awesome . Fried pork chunks and beans and rice were delicious .

We just got back from snorkeling on the catamaran. Great fun. So far we have hit Chiquita Mar, Old San Juan and the snorkeling trip. Tomorrow is UTV in the rainforest and horseback riding on the beach. Friday is a helicopter tour. Still trying to decide what to do on Thursday and Saturday. We will likely hike in El Yunque one of those days. We may take a trip over to Culebra the other day. The kids really enjoyed snorkeling, so I’m thinking another day of might be good.

where are yall staying? Try out the bioluminescent bays or if you can drive over to Cabo Rojo and Playa Sucia. If in San Juan theres plenty of good food but for some reason I always go to Silk for the Sushi Pizza even though it's not authentic "Puerto Rican food." Never seen sushi pizza anywhere else but it should definitely become a thing.

My in-laws on the island said that they are going to start requiring arriving visitors to provide proof of a negative COVID test from within 72 hours. They already do have on-site testing at the airport. It supposedly takes 30 mins for results.

Bio Bay

Spent 5 months in PR after the hurricane. Love this area. Cueva Ventana and the Arecibo Observatory were pretty cool trips as well.
