staying at sonesta maho beach and have booked zip line/rafting and was thinking of snorkel trip, also maybe day tripping to Anguilla. any other “must do’s” the board can suggest , ex..beaches, restaurants/dishes at said restaurants, fun hikes? TIA

Guana Bay hike. Go to Lazy Lizard in phillipsburg. Try the banana rum. Pinel Island is worth the trip.

Don’t go to the beach by the runway. Place sucks.

Take the ferry to St Barts and see if you can make it back and forth without puking

Admittedly only went once. It was packed. Bars were not friendly.

I went to that bar right before flying out. Was there drinking close to the road and I made eye contact with a driver heading west. Guy stops the car and nonchalantly walks over to me trying to sell me an entire branch all while traffic is backing up

The French side has some good markets, restaurants, and bakeries.
It definitely gets packed, especially when the biggest plane of the day flies through, but it's fun if you aren't a complainer.
They have a couple of bars with fresh fruit daiquiris that aren't bad priced for a tourist trap. It's worth a visit to see it.

got back on thursday; won’t be going again…hotel major disappointment, beaches so-so, zip line so-so, snorkel
trip was one stop in a 100’x100’ area that was rough as hell, masks were crap and they had to throw bread to get fish out….should stuck to st thomas/st john, live and learn

Indeed. I'm kind of beached out. I've had multi-vacations there. I m done with beaches, unless private. I lived on Santa Maria, for several years, in Central Florida. I've been to St Thomas, Cozumel, Jamaica and all others
Suppose, I'm just nit picky in my old years
I travel to see and experience things unseen by me or my lady
I've worn beaches out
Imo, the best beach, in the world, is Siesta Key in Sarasota. Sand like powder.
You're welcome

You chose shitty tours and a bad hotel.

We rented a car and drove to Grand Case on the French side and got their version of barbecue at Lolo’s Rib Shack. It was a really fun afternoon. The view at lunch.

check out juggy's bar. It's the smallest bar in the world run by one of the nicest guys in the world. It's in Philipsburg. Also, the star wars museum is actually pretty cool there as well.
