want to try Powder Mountain in UT. I’ve heard great things over the years but never been.
unfortunately it appears it’s become mainstream now so probably more lines and more $$$ like everywhere else.
Skied Pow Mow a bunch
I've definitely had fun there - but I wouldn't make a trip out there just to ski it. If you are planning on using Ogden as your HQ and doing a 3 days trip with Snowbasin, I'd burn one day at Pow Mow, but would temper expectations. It's also kind of janky with old lifts and very limited infrastructure.
If you have a touring set up- it could be worth it if you are willing to earn your turns. Their actual lift served terrain is pretty limited ...maybe 1000 -1500 acres and most of it is nothing to write home about.
It's pretty flat outside of a few zones, depending on orographics they can be hit or miss with Storm Cycles.

Wolf Creek is gonna frick this year with the El Nino on.
I'll have to take a look. Only going to Steamboat because one of my boys lived there for a while and wants to go back, and my brother is in Telluride and I haven't gone in a few years.

Very jealous.
Going to plan some work trips to Utah and CO and stay an extra couple days to ski.
Then breck in April with the family cautiously optimistic.

I’ve been skiing a handful of times really liked it. Would love to go again sooner than later
Park City was nice but Deer Valley is my favorite so far.
The last time I went tho I suffered horrible shin splints . Not sure how I would remedy that in those boots

Great advice for a regular skier, but not sure the cost is worth it for someone who does it sporadically unless they're pretty financially comfortable.

Heading back to Park City for Mardi Gras cause F Mardi Gras. Staying over on the Canyons side again. Love it over there.

Its a bit of a pain to get to but it gets more snow than anywhere in the state. Given you aint going to get a lot this year up north, would be worth it for a powder trip.
And you'll definitely like the vibe of that mountain.

If there's anything I've gotten used to, it's this.
shite, I'm flying in to Montrose. Might switch the exiting flight to Durango to check it out.

Do it.
Telluride plus Wolf Creek should be a riot in February this year.

Anybody got a new pair of skis/new boards this season?
Posted on 9/15/23 at 12:47 pm to SkiUtah420
I have a season pass at Bogus Basin. Other than Bogus, will hit Tamarack, Soldier, and maybe Sun Valley. Got 40 days in last year.

Haven't been in about 10 years and have always gone only adults but we are bringing the kids this year. In the past we've gone to cooper, copper, keystone and Breckenridge. Leaning to keystone but would like input if anyone has experience with the most kid friendly places.
