Appreciate the ideas. Staying 2 days in Seattle before taking Alaska cruise and then staying a day after returning to Seattle

Wife and I visited last May. Our favorite place we ate at was Din Tai Fung. We also enjoyed an Italian restaurant called Brunello Ristorante Italiano. Definitely go to Pike’s Place. I was iffy because people described it to me as being trashy, which it sort of is, but it is giant and there’s tons of unique stores to check out and tons of restaurants. I liked exploring everything, but I legit got lost in there

Sit on the left side of the plane flying in to Seattle. If you're lucky you'll catch a view of Mt. Rainier like this.

My gf lives there. If you must do the tourist thing, just be safe if you are downtown. I wouldnt go around at night. Lots of people are completely lost to opioids.

And watch out for big piles of human feces when walking around. Was there last October and was disgusted by the piles of shite just sitting there in the middle of the sidewalk.

Palisade is a cool place to eat - it's French Polynesian with a northwest flair and is at a marina in Magnolia with a great view back at the city.

Unless you are in the woods, you don’t need a raincoat here. When it rains, it is typically a light drizzle. I haven’t worn a raincoat in town in a few years.

I own 5 different types of raincoats but I spend a lot of time in the Outdoors.
We are not all the same. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t wear a raincoat from time to time but we aren’t all as tough as you.
It rained over an inch in my area recently and Seattle had a lot of rain in their forecast. It isn’t always typical but you know that.
Last week I got my arse rained on while fishing. Certainly wasn’t typical. Thank goodness for my Helly Hansen raincoat and waterproof Simms bibs and waterproof boots.
I also have really nice hair and I don’t do umbrellas.
Regardless of how you dress MANY MANY MANY people in the NW own a raincoat or waterproof ski jacket that serves as a winter/spring raincoat.

Again, in town. You typically do not need a raincoat in and around civilization in the coastal NW. A tourist to downtown Seattle does NOT need a rain coat. Again, the rain here is typically a light drizzle. Very few locals use umbrellas here, because we don’t have to.
I would not give the same advice for folks venturing out into the wilderness. I too own rain gear, but that isn’t ever for walking around doing tourist shite in downtown Seattle.
