Thanks for the. Info. I think I’m gonna spring for a private tour. For the four of us it’s around 900 vs the small group tour that covered most of the places I wanted that was around 700. Sounds like you’re having a blast. Keep the info coming and have a great time

Yea that's definitely worth it and you'll get to do everything you want. We rented a private driver one day out of Edinburgh and it's a bit of a splurge, but we have no regrets.

I know you said you don't drink but I have to comment on the bar scene for anyone else... I think doing Ireland first spoiled me for the rest of the trip in regards to bars. You can still have a good time at night in Edinburgh, but the Irish are just so much more fun.

We're in Inverness tonight and we struggled to find a decent bar. We tried a couple of the ones recommended here but ultimately left due to the live music choices being shite like covers of teenage dirtbag, taylor swift, and country roads. I guess I get it though: it's less touristy and the locals prefer listening to American sing-a-long covers than anything Scottish.

We did enjoy the Wee Pub last night...played cards for awhile with the bartender but he did first say "Louisiana...you know NBA Young boy? "
