San Juan, PR for a weekend trip?

I have a 4 day weekend blocked off in April. Thinking either the Keys or San Juan. Would a long weekend in San Juan be enough time (2 travel days + 2 full days)? Or would is just leave me feeling disappointingly wanting for more?

I think you will want a bit more, but I would still choose the 2 full days over the keys (without knowing if you mean key west or Marathon or wherever). If you do go to San Juan, spend the money and eat at Marmalade. My wife and I still talk about that as one of the best meals we've ever had.

the keys aren’t really a weekend place unless you live in Miami. You’ll eat up every bit of 2 travel days
I’d choose PR out of those two

Went for a long weekend a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. You're not going to hit everything obviously, but enough time to hit the basics and a bit of beach time. Could do Old San Juan one day and the rainforest the next or something like that. We really enjoyed PR.

You can get a good flavor of the city in two days. I’d do beach one day and old San Juan part of the other. Probably not enough time to see any more of the island though.

Having been to both for long weekends, and loving both, I think it would depend on flights+hotel cost. Both are excellent places. If you want to do something more than just sit on the beach I would lean to San Juan so you can hit up Old San Juan and some casinos.

If I had two days to spend in puerto rico at least 1 of them would be spent at Culebra/Flamenco Beach...what a damm jewel of a place. Just incredible.

I have been to PR three times. Loved it every time.
